The craft
Bar cabinet by night, record cabinet by day
This one is built to pour. The upper bay holds bottles and stemware with clearance for a tall bottle to stand, while the lower section takes vinyl upright or barware and glassware behind the sculpted Brasilia fronts. It closes up clean when the party is over.
I carve the door fronts, fit the interior, then finish the whole case by hand so the inside surfaces feel as considered as the outside. Solid wood legs are joined into the frame to carry the weight of a full bar, and the top is sealed to handle a spilled drink without leaving a ring.
